Earth Day is more than a date on the calendar—it’s a reminder that every action counts. At Raystar, we are dedicated to fostering a sustainable lifestyle and reducing waste wherever we can. That’s why we proudly hosted our Second-hand Market, giving our community the opportunity to extend the life of unwanted items and reduce environmental impact.
A second life for unwanted items
Every year, countless usable items end up in landfills despite being in good condition. By collecting, donating, and redistributing these items, we’re helping to build a circular economy—where resources are valued and reused instead of wasted.
What we achieved together
The numbers speak for themselves. With over 582 items donated during the event and more than 494 items claimed by new owners, the impact of our efforts is clear. Multiply that impact by 100 employees or more, and the potential grows exponentially—showing how small actions can collectively create powerful change.
How it worked in action
The Second-hand Market unfolded in three simple steps: First, employees photographed their unwanted items, filled out forms, and submitted them to their assigned contact points.
Next, our team reviewed the submissions to ensure they met our quality guidelines. Finally, approved items were labeled and collected for the event, where they found new homes—giving each item a second life and contributing to a more sustainable community.
