RC2004AR 20x4 Character LCD display shares identical specifications with the RC2004A model. Both LCD display modules have the same dimensions, measuring 98 x 60 mm, Active area size is 70.4 x 20.8 mm, and built-in IC ST7066.

The RC2004AR module features a default UART interface, with the option for SPI/I2C interface via jumper configuration. A noteworthy improvement in the RC2004AR series is the introduction of a new instruction set, eliminating the necessity to understand the ST7066 LCD Controller commands. The display setup is simplified with the built-in MCU and instruction set, enabling users to concentrate solely on application layer programming. Furthermore, users can effortlessly fine-tune backlight brightness and LCD contrast using commands provided in the instruction set.

With a logic supply voltage range of 4.5V to 5.5V (typical value at 5V), the module work within temperature from -20℃ to +70℃, storage temperature covers from -30℃ to +80℃, it proves suitable for deployment in various environmental conditions.
