16x2 Character LCD Display Module 2.26-inch COB (ST7066 IC)

The RC1602B is a 2.26-inch 16x2 character LCD display module, featuring the same specifications as the RC1602B1. Both 16x2 character LCD modules share the same dimensions of 80.0 × 36.0 mm and integrate the ST7066 controller IC. The default interface is 6800 parallel, while SPI or I2C interfaces are also available by replacing the IC with RW1063. This LCD display module 16x2 with LED backlight is offered in multiple color combinations, including yellow-green, blue, white, amber, and red. A non-backlight version is also available for low-power 16x2 character LCD display applications.

The default power supply is 5V (with a 3V option available). A negative voltage option can also be provided for the 3V version. The key difference between the RC1602B and RC1602B1 lies in the pin position: the RC1602B has top pins, whereas the RC1602B1 has bottom pins. The LED backlight can be driven via PIN1, PIN2, PIN15, PIN16, or A and K, ensuring compatibility with standard 16 character x 2 line LCD configurations.
